Acer Liquid A1 hands-on
The Liquid A1 is Acer’s first Android phone, and the first Android phone from anyone to be equipped with the 1GHz Snapdragon processor

The Liquid A1 is Acer‘s first Android phone, and the first Android phone from anyone to be equipped with the 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The design is quite plain – although by no means unattractive – the build quality is very impressive and the flat buttons beneath the screen seem more usable than this style often does. On the downside, it’s quite a large handset – it would certainly benefit from being a bit thinner – and the whole thing is a horrible fingerprint magnet.
Acer hasn’t done too much to customise the Android UI in the way that HTC and Motorola have done, so it’s not an obvious social networking device, but perhaps as a result it is very quick, aided by a large and responsive capacitive screen.
Acer’s recent WinMo devices have been so-so thus far; their move into Android looks a lot more promising.
