Personal media player speciaist Archos has confirmed its plan to add an Android-powered smartphone to its range.
Precise details are thin on the ground at the moment, other than that it will pack a 1GHz processor and the highest resolution screen yet seen on any current smartphone (the unusual 854 x 480 pixels, and mesuring 4.3″), all in a body no thicker than 10mm.
A spokesperson told us that the device would likely be available Sim-free and that they would also be looking at network deals.
The Archos Phone Tablet is expected to be unveiled officially at CES next January.
