Very, very late in life I am proposing to try to understand and use a Dell Streak 5, currently on order.
I am told that mental exercise may stave off mental decline, though perhaps it is a bit late for that too.
Investigating its use as a satnav , potentially another new experience, I was following up a forum comment when I arrived here.

Someone found Navigon maps preferable to the Google maps supplied with the device, as they operate independently of the often uncertain internet connection. The main Navigon website baffled me, but fortunately another search link took me to this page.
Too late for: “We’ve got two copies of the amazing Android satnav app Navigon MobileNavigator to give away” but it told me exactly what to look for once (if??) I master Android and the Streak.
The £112 made me wince, but then you told me: “Navigon MobileNavigator Europe is available from the Android Market priced £77″ which is not quite so bad.
I have just worked my way through the first ten pages of the brief articles on here, picking out mostly those that relate to Android, but there is so much else in your magazine that I would never want to be diverted into that buying it would be a distraction as much as a cost! To that extent I agree with Jim’s comment .
But thanks for all the information I have collected from what you have here, even though it has made my head spin!
