BlackBerry App World gets update

BlackBerry App World has been updated to version 1.1, bringing a range of new features. The service is now available in 14 countries around the world.

Key features in BlackBerry App World 1.1 include:

• Improved search: Customers can view catalogue by free vs. paid application with additional categories for top free and paid app downloads
• Sort app search results: Customers can sort their search results by:
  Newest
  Highest Rated
  Price (lowest/highest)
  Developer (alphabetical)
  Application Name (alphabetical)
• Archive apps: Customers can now archive their apps to SD Card or eMMC and reinstall when they want to use it

For new users, customers should go to Mobile.BlackBerry.com or BlackBerry.com/AppWorld and download App World 1.1. Current users will be prompted to download version 1.1 via a red star on the App World icon.
