Navigon’s MobileNavigator
for iPhone software has received an update, with users being able to upgrade their  software with a set of free additional features which include Text-to-Speech, the iPod Control, Location Sharing and automatic switching between day and night mode.

Text-To-Speech helps improve orientation in cities where street signs can be difficult to read. Text-To-Speech reads street names aloud, allowing the driver to concentrate fully on the road ahead, without having to divert attention from the road to look for hidden street names.

iPod Control is a simple function which makes listening to music whilst using the MobileNavigator quick and simple. Select the iPod symbol on the map displayed and select a playlist or album with ease and listen to your own choice of songs or leave the device to generate a random selection of songs. A simple touch will take you back to the navigation screen.

Location Sharing helps you find and share POIs with friends. Select an address for a restaurant or museum, and this location will be emailed to friends at the touch of a button. If the recipient also has the MobileNavigator, they can simply click on the link you have sent and they be given directions to the destination via the fastest route.

These new updates are available now through the App Store.
