Spb Software has been a producer of consistently quality products and its new addition Spb Weather is no exception. First impressions count and the slick program interface undoubtedly makes a very good one.

The software attaches itself to the Today screen offering a selection of cities via a tabbed interface. Each offers up the forecast for the next three days with an accompanying icon for instant recognition. Tapping beyond the tab title takes the user directly into the heart of the program. The chosen city gives up a more comprehensive weather forecast. There is a 4-day forecast with an up-to-date temperature. Hiding behind each daily forecast is a further break down of conditions. A quick tap and smooth flip transition offers up more details. Choose the current temperature and get the forecast for the current time period and the next eg, Night and Morning. Plus, Humidity, Pressure and Wind speed and direction get a mention.

Heading back to the chosen city and a more advanced date users will find an expanded version of the details just mentioned. Discover expected temperatures, humidity and wind for Night, Morning, Day and Evening. Back at the beginning, a tap and hold reveals a trio of options. Show City simply reveals the standard details, while Set as Startup City gives the option to select a city as the default, Finally, remove City, cuts the chosen city from the list. A neat selection of icons in the toolbar gives users the opportunity to choose the default source for weather information. Next is access to the 3D Globe, where users can get to see weather across the world. Choose from Show Night, Animation and Show Sky to get the desired viewing perspective and sit back and enjoy.
