App review: Viigo

The Viigo experience is a collection of modules that gives the user access to a wealth of online information.

The module line-up includes News & RSS, Audio & Podcasts, Weather, Sports, Shopping, Entertainment, Flights & Travel and Politics. Individual modules are assigned a number of channels, ie, Sports>Basketball – NBA with the option to add further channels.

This level of integration allows the user to customize to their requirements. Viigo offers plenty of channel suggestions, but there is a strong US bias but adding a new channel is simple enough. The one irritation when navigating Viigo is the breadcrumb menu that appears across the top of the page. This lets the user know which sub-module they are currently at.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t let the user tap a sub module name and navigate back to the module. Something we tried on several occasion, users need to tap Back.

Sort this out and we will like Viigo even more.
