Free GPS software for your smartphone

GPS software ranks among the must-haves for most smartphone users but it can also be one of the costliest add-ons. It doesn’t have to be, though, as there are several GPS tools that will give directions and even turn-by-turn routing completely free of charge, including the surprisingly decent Nav4All:

Nav4All is a full satnav package that is completely free until 2010 and supports a wide variety of devices ranging from Blackberry, Nokia Smartphones, Windows Mobile devices  and several non-Smartphone related products as well. The software offers both car and pedestrian navigation and uses a combination of your data connection – to download routes, maps, voice directions – and your internal or external GPS receiver.
