Quick review: Beach Buoy

The Beach Buoy is a waterproof case that is tagged as ideal for ‘trips to the beach in the summer’.Add your mobile, money, iPod etc and keep it safe and dry.

The unit uses a double grip seal system, similar to a Ziploc bag, that needs to be sealed tight before doubling over to be contained by a Velcro strip. This creates an effective watertight case, but its hard work getting there.

The procedure is simple enough, but getting it all to fit together needs some nimble fingers. However, it does its job when called into action.

We kept the Beach Buoy submerged for around half an hour and all contents were as dry as when they went in. It’s not attractive, it’s bulky and the neckstrap could have been better, but it performs its primary function well.
