Review: Proporta Alu-Leather case for HTC Hero

Proporta has taken updated its range of Aluminium Lined Leather cases, this time for the HTC Hero.

The famous ‘chin’ on the Hero seems like an inconvenient design for a case, and so it proves on this offering. The chin is accommodated with a curved back, although the aluminium-lined front lies completely flat, not offering the kind of snug fit you would expect from these cases.

Still the design and build quality is as good as ever, with a soft leather exterior and a pin-striped inside back cover. A magnetic stud holds the case closed, but flips open easily enough to enable you to make and receive calls without needing to remove it.

The device is held firmly in place, although the bottom corners are a little prone if you drop it. A decent effort, though, for an awkwardly shaped device.
