Review: QStik EVOQ Bluetooth DSP Headset
A Bluetooth headset priced at little more than a tenner raises immediate questions about its all-round quality

A Bluetooth headset priced at little more than a tenner raises immediate questions about its all-round quality. Is this the bargain of a lifetime or something cheap and cheerful but of little lasting value?
Well, the first thing to note is that the Qstick EVOQ is not a brand new product, it’s been around for a couple of years and did not begin its life in the bargain basement.
The product’s age is undoubtedly betrayed by the design, which is far less sleek and discreet than the current crop of headsets. You might therefore feel a little self-conscious walking the streets with this in your ear, but in the comfort of your car that won’t be an issue.
Beyond that the package is very impressive.
You get the headset, a neat charging cradle and a set of stereo earphones that can be used to listen to music streamed from your phone via Bluetooth. This latter part is not wholly practical due to fairly poor sound quality, but the rest certainly impresses.
The headset is reasonably comfortable to wear and easy to use, and the noise cancelling technology makes a good job of ensuring both sides of the call are reasonably clear and free from distortion.
Looks apart the EVOQ is a solid product, making a brilliant value headset for, we’d say, in-car use only.
