The smartphone… as a phone
HTC Touch2

HTC Touch2
The Touch2 is one of the first Windows Mobile 6.5 devices to hit the smartphone world and continues the HTC tradition of gradually improving voice performance as new devices hit the market.
This phone offers a superior voice experience to earlier models and we found it very easy to use on a day to day basis. It is small and light, and thus feels good next to the ear, and only the tendency to hit the large ‘end call’ button on the screen while talking brought the experience down a little. The speakerphone is crisp, but loudness is an issue and we did struggle at times to hear what was being said.
Signal quality is good and we suffered no drop outs even in areas with poor coverage so all in all the Touch2 provides a functional, if unexceptional, voice experience.
