The greatest strength of the iPhone is in how easy to use it is
The greatest strength of the iPhone is in how easy to use it is. But there is always room for improvement. Here are five quick tips to get more power from your iPhone, and make it easier to use in the process.

Quick iPhone Contacts
Opening the dedicated Contacts application on an iPhone can take a seriously long time if hundreds are contacts are stored. Strangely, opening them up from the tab in the Phone application is much quicker, and they should all be available in under a second.

Carry PC Files on an iPhone
Files is a simple application available from the iTunes Application Store which allows any iPhone user to carry and view multiple PC formatted files with them. With support for Microsoft Office, image, movie and iWork documents there is now no excuse not to be prepared for any meeting.

Alternative iPhone Data Entry
Some people love the iPhone keyboard and some people hate it. WritingPad is an alternative data entry tool for iPhone users which involves tracing keystrokes on a virtual keyboard. Error correction is included and it currently works in many of the included applications, with SMS to hopefully be included soon.
Home Button Shortcuts
When playing music on an iPhone it can be tiresome to unlock the screen and get to the right page to change the volume or to pause a track. While music is playing simply double click the home button to reveal a mini control screen which will let you change what you need. If music is not playing, you can double tap the home button to go straight to Favourites in the phone application.

Take iPhone Screenshots by default
iPhones with at least version 2.0 software installed have screenshot functionality built in. Just home the home button and then press the on/off button to take a screenshot. The screen will flash and the resulting image will automatically be stored in the camera roll folder in Photos.
