How to: Sync Word Mobile with Windows Mobile Device Center

If you are working with Word Mobile you need to ensure you don’t end up with different versions of the same documents when you sync. Here’s how…

Step 1: Plug in your mobile device and sync with Window Mobile Device Center on the desktop. Select Mobile Device Settings followed by Change content sync settings. This will reveal a list of content that can be synced.

Step 2: Scroll down the list and select Files to activate the Sync Settings link.  To add a document to Synchronized files click Add, browse to the location of the desired folder, select and press Open to add. Repeat and press Done followed by Save to finish.

Step 3: The files are automatically added to a new folder, ie, Documents and device name, on the desktop. The files will also reside in a folder on the device, ie, My Documents.  Any changes will be updated when the device is synced.
