New Opera Mobile browser ready to download
A new beta version of the Opera Mobile browser is ready to download for Windows phones
A new beta version of the Opera Mobile browser is ready to download for Windows phones. It introduces Opera’s Turbo technology for the first time, bringing with it superfast mobile web browsing.
Turbo adopts a similar approach to that seen in Opera Mini, wherein web pages are compressed and rendered remotely, making them download to the handset quicker and use less bandwidth in the process.
Opera Mini uses the new Opera Presto 2.2 rendering engine – the same as that used on the desktop browser – and also supports widgets. Several widgets comes pre-installed, including Twitter, Bubbles, MyStatus and Google Translate.
Opera Mobile 9.7 for Windows phones is available for download now.
